If you select faster shipping though, there may be an additional charge. The gift card funds are available right away once you receive the Target gift card. Hold onto the receipt until you are able to verify the balance information is correct.
You can purchase a mobile or Target eGift card directly online at target.com or within the Target app. eGift cards can be purchased for the following amounts: $5, $10, $15, $25, $30, $40, $50, $75, $100, or $200.
Target eGift cards are sent to you by email. Usually, they are sent to you within 4 hours of purchase.
Target eGift cards and physical Target gift cards can be redeemed for Target merchandise online and in-store. When redeeming an eGift card in-store, you will need to print the entire electronic gift card email showing the card number and balance information. You cannot just bring your mobile phone. Also, make sure to check out at a standard checkout lane so that a store clerk can scan the barcode and assist you. You cannot use self-checkout with an eGift card.

The Target gift card must be returned with the original purchase receipt. You will be refunded cash if the Target gift card was purchased with cash.
You can use Target gift cards at Starbucks cafés located within Target stores. Target gift cards cannot be used at non-Target Starbucks locations.
Your Target gift card will never expire or lose value. If you have a Target Visa, Mastercard, or American Express gift card, the funds will never expire, but the physical card itself may expire. If your plastic prepaid card has expired, but you still have remaining funds, contact customer services at 1-800-698-4952. They will issue you a new prepaid card.
In Super Target and Target store locations, you can redeem a gift card at checkout. Present the gift card to the cashier when you are checking out.
To redeem a Target gift card or eGift card online, go to your shopping cart once you’ve completed your shopping.
- Select “Payment” section
- Select “apply a gift card”
- Enter the card number and access number of your gift card. The card number will be 15 digits long. For physical gift cards, the access number can be viewed after you scratch off the protective strip on the back of the card
- You can use up to 10 Target gift cards or eGift cards towards one order
You can also redeem a Target gift card on your mobile phone. On your mobile phone, you will have the option of scanning your card number instead of typing it in.
You can add a Target gift card or Target eGift card to your “Wallet” in the Target app.
- Open the Target app on your mobile phone
- On the main menu, tap the wallet icon
- Select “Add payment”
- Scroll down to “Gift Cards” and tap the “+” icon
- Scan your Target gift card barcode or enter the Target gift card number
